There is always something to do when the seasons change. Moving from summer to fall and from fall into winter. As we leave the warmth of summer and migrate into fall and finally into winter, Mother Nature brings on the cooler winds north of the equator and warmer winds south of the equator, thus informing us that it is time to begin spring or fall cleaning as the case may be.
Wherever we are located we are preparing for the upcoming Seasonal events which we share with our families and friends. We start the process of spring or fall cleaning depending on where we are located. We make lists of the items we need to put away and items we need from storage to replace them with for the seasons ahead.
As we make our lists we purge the items that need to be let go of and replace them with newer brighter decorative items. Are we having family or friends for the holidays? Will they be visiting with us for a week or more?
This is the time to decide what we need to update for their visit. I look at my key rooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, bedrooms and bathroom(s). What do we need to replace? I think about linens, towels, placemats, place settings and glassware, towels, throws, sheets and bedding, area rugs, and holiday decorating throughout as needed.
